midweek news

I got some good news today... well, technically last night...

My contract has been extended (yet again) until December. This is good because, you know, money and things to do in the daytime. The level of frustration I experience on any given day is still the downside...

As is the lack of an actual permanent job...

But, you know... money and the things it can buy. Plus I do enjoy the people I work with most of the time.

I don't know if you're aware of this (or interested) but based on what little I know of your work history you may be regarded as a constructive permanent full time or part time worker under current law and consequently allowed sick and annual leave (if you aren't already). The downside of course might be a reduced pay rate but it might still be worth looking into.

If you're not a union member you could still find out about this by working out the union that would apply to the work you do in a workplace of your kind and discussing it with that union.

Thanks Martin... sadly, it doesn't actually apply given my situation.
